Membership Classifications


All membership privileges extend to immediate family of any member, wife/husband, unmarried children under the age of 21 years, and unmarried children attending college age 23 or younger. Only Proprietary Resident Members and Business Members have voting rights and the right to hold office. Only Proprietary Resident and Business Members shall have any right, title, or interest in the property or assets of the Club in the event of dissolution of the Club or otherwise.

Proprietary Resident Members:


Proprietary Resident Members have full use of all the Club's sporting and dining facilities, including use of the golf course without payment of green fees.

Business Members:


Business memberships are certificates held in the name of an active corporation, company, or business. The business for which the certificate is obtained shall be entitled to designate in writing to the Briarwood, two employees or officers and their families to exercise the privileges of the membership.  Each membership shall have only one vote.  Monthly dues, capital fees, club charges and assessments are applicable to each designated employee or officer and each shall be responsible, along with the Business certificate holder for payment. 

The Business may change, replace, or substitute the employees or officers designated under the membership by submitting that new employee's or officer's name for approval by the Board of Directors to the membership, and upon the payment of a fee equal to twenty five percent of the then current transfer fee.  Monthly dues, capital fees, and assessments shall continue to be payable regardless of whether a successor or substitute employee or officer is designated and accepted for membership.

In the event of a proposed change of ownership of a Business membership certificate, application and approval must be made pursuant to Section 5, D.

Briarwood Subdivision Social Members:


Briarwood Subdivision Social Members are persons residing within the Briarwood Subdivision who have been approved for this membership by the Board of Directors. They shall have all the privileges of Social Members and, additionally, shall have limited use of the golf course as follows:

Two golf passes per month. These passes expire at midnight on the last day of each month.

Social Members:


Ideal for those interested in the dining and social activities of the Club. This membership offers food and beverage, tennis and swimming privileges in all the clubhouse facilities. Social members may use the golf course practice facilities with payment of the range plan fee.

Non-Resident Members:


Non-resident memberships are available for a person who neither resides nor has a regular place of business within a hundred (100) road miles of Billings, Montana. Non-resident members shall be entitled to the use of all Club facilities, except use of the golf course shall not exceed four (4) days per calendar month. Additional rounds in any calendar month are available, the normal out-of-town guest rules and fee structure shall apply.
